Many of you already know that BSH has gone through some big changes recently and in going through that positive growth we have conceived a new brand which we feel represents the best the industry has to offer. This new brand was born from the ashes of some of our first generation of products with a much fresher approach to VAG tuning. We don't really follow convention because we believe there is a more innovative approach to tuning these cars. This is our first product born from the ashes of the past school of thought on tuning 2.0T FSIs and TSIs. We are proud to share with you all our new brand, PHOENIX RISING!
The first product that we are accepting pre-books for is the PHOENIX RISING Colder Air Intake system. This simple and well conceived concept is the first truly COLD air intake in the VW/AUDI aftermarket. Everything else before this should be called a WAI (WARM air intake) based on its pathway over the top of the engine rather than to the side of it.
- There are two sources of incoming air. The foglight air-dam and the "wind tunnel" piping which runs along the width of the main grille.Neither of which pass over the hottest point in your engine, the exhaust manifold.
- Isolated air filter element is as far away from the major "hot points" in your engine as can be.
- Scaleable pipe diameter of 2.75”-3” pipe to accommodate 400+ HP cars
- Shorter intake piping keeps throttle response up
- Appropriate MAF size and placement to work seamless with the MAF sensors requirements. NO CELs!
- Tested for over a month and 1000 miles including a spirited road-trip from PHX to Vegas.
- DV Hardline piping is 1.5" diameter can be modified to accommodate larger aftermarket DV's as well as OEM 1”.
The PHOENIX RISING Colder Air Intake will be shipping in just a few days in the following configurations:
- MK5 FSI GTI for USA
- MK6 FSI Golf .:R USA
- Rest of World (ROW) markets will ship around the 2nd week of August and will include charcoal canister relocation provisions.
* Please note that the above smartphone pic is of our 2nd to last prototype version of the Golf .:R Intake. What you will be getting is a matte black crinkle powder-coated kit with black silicone coupler hoses and stainless steel hose clamps. Install is fairly straight ahead and should take under an hour with basic hand tools. We will have our instructional video up at the time that it ships to assist you in your installation for DIY'rs.
